Innesoft NetLizard v1.0 Launched
Innesoft NetLizard protects your computer from potentially malicious websites, browser hijacks, trojans, adware and tracking cookies by blocking risky domains before they have a chance to attack. This is done by taking a frequently updated blacklist of dangerous sites, and blocking access to them completely, even when NetLizard isn’t running. This non-intrusive and safe approach will protect you automatically while you and your family browse the internet, and you can be safe in the knowledge that many thousands of known attackers will be blocked.
Anything from a whole domain, I.P address, web page or embedded ad can be blocked from all browsers (including Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome and Safari) and in one-click NetLizard will do everything for you. You can also maintain a ‘white list’ of sites which will not be blocked if they appear on the list of bad sites.
NetLizard works well with any trusted anti-virus and anti-spyware software you have installed, and honors the block-list of those programs while adding further protection from an updatable blacklist of it’s own, giving you complete peace of mind.

Getting Started – Updating the Blacklist
When you first run NetLizard, you should check for any updates that might be available by clicking the button marked ‘Check for Updates’. This will download the latest domain blacklist from the internet, which ensures you will get maximum protection.
Check for Updates
You can do this by clicking the button marked ‘Check for Updates’ in the upper-left corner, or by using the menu-bar at the top; (click File–>Check for Updates..). The update process will begin, and if a new blacklist is found, it will be downloaded and applied within a few seconds.
Protect Now!
The ‘Protect Now’ button is all you need to protect your system. Click it once, and it will add the entries from the ‘Full Blacklist’ tab to the ‘Active Blacklist’ tab. The ‘Active Blacklist’ contains everything that is currently blocked, some of which may have been blocked by other programs.
The ‘Full Blacklist’ tab contains a list of known dangerous domains, but until they have been added to the ‘Active Blacklist’, they are not currently blocked. Every time you update the blacklist or apply protection, NetLizard will estimate your current protection level, and advise you if you need further protection. The advice given is color-coded, with green for safe, and red for danger.
The Whitelist
The Whitelist is located in the far-right tab, and allows you to unblock any entry from the blacklist if you feel it is safe to do so. This should only be used if you are certain that the domain contains little or no risk (such as tracking cookies).
The Rollback Feature
You can revert your system to a previous state by ‘rolling back’ any recent changes made by NetLizard. This is a simple process which takes only a single-click of the button marked ‘Rollback Changes’. To roll-back to before you used NetLizard for the first time, the option is available in the menu-bar; (click Settings–>Rollback–>Undo all Changes). This is provided for your convenience, but rolling-back will remove any protection applied by the program.
